This graphic novel was very well done. Had superior artwork and the story was well written. Everlast and Melissa are well thought out and their growing dependence on each other only enhances the story. Good fun.

Beautiful Debut Novel

Chad Micheal Murray's debut graphic novel "Everlast" is all that I hoped for. I am a long-time comic lover and recent fan of Murray. I was quite nervous of this comic at first, but it met every expectation I had for it. The comic is beautifully written and the art is very unique.
Using 4 different artists, Murray decided to have a different style of art for each main character's perception of the world. The story is a brilliant science fiction based apocalypse setting with some of the most intriguing characters I have ever become connected with! I can't wait for Murray's next installment on this amazing graphic novel series! If you love Chad Michael Murray, Science Fiction, Comics, or you just have an appreciation for beautiful writing, this book is for you!
If you don't mind spending more you can order the graphic novel from his website and get it autographed as well. He also has 2 audio books for his short stories: "Flight of the Cormorant" and "Phoenix" available to buy and they are worth the money. Murray's Talent as an actor shine thru in his reading of the 2 spin-off stories and are just as enticing as the novel!

not bad, i look forward to more from this author and character

I enjoyed this novel from first timer Chad Michael Murray, and at the least, the potential here is fairly large. The book sort of started a tad confusing and slow paced, but it really became more engrossing towards the end. The lead character, is, for the most part, an enigma. As I read this, I started to see that Derek Everlast had built a wall around his personality, and it may not be for a few more books that even the readers are let in. This is a catch-22, as a reader you may be either intrigued by his sobriety, or pushed away. Luckily, I was intrigued, and I look forward to more in the Everlast series so that I can see how faithful he remains to his mission.
